Leading IHAF experts to teach application of Halal standards for the first time in Russia

The national accreditation institute Rosaccreditation, in collaboration with and supporting the National Research University - Higher School of Economics, has prepared the special further training programme Challenges Facing Development of the Halal Export Industry in Russia: Terminology, Requirements, Standards. Assessment of Compliance with Halal Standards, which will be launched on 25 February 2019. IHAF Secretary-General Mohammed Badri (UAE), Advisor to the IHAF Secretary-General Farah Alzaruni (UAE) and Belgi Aseklar (Turkey) will give lectures as part of the project. Representatives of Russian companies will be given the opportunity as part of this special programme to undergo training in the challenges facing development of the world Halal industry.

At the end of 2018, the Institute for Public Administration and Governance at NRU HSE drew up a Development Concept for Halal Farming and Food Product Exports.  The work was performed for the Russian Federation Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry approved the key provisions of the Concept in January 2019.

A new study guide is published for assessing the effectiveness of voluntary work

The study guide "Assessing the Economic and Social Effectiveness of Voluntary Work: Approaches to Training and Implementation Problems", edited by Irina Mersiyanova, represents an innovative tool for Russia. It sets out a multi-level approach to assessing the economic and social effectiveness of voluntary work, which is based on in-depth analysis of Russian and international experience.
