Methodological Seminar on Digital Technologies in Science and Education
The Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines and Digital Technologies of the Bashkir Academy of Public Administration under the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan (Ufa) held a methodological seminar titled “Methodology and Tools for the Use of Digital Technologies in Educational and Research Activities.” The seminar was attended by Vice-Rector for Digital Development I.V. Sergienko, Head of the Postgraduate Studies Office A.R. Baigildina, Head of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines and Digital Technologies A.G. Ulyaeva, as well as faculty members of the Academy. The International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration Research Fellow Aisylu Ataeva, delivered a presentation titled
“Methodological and Practical Aspects of Using Artificial Intelligence in Scientific Research.”
The presentation covered the following topics:
- modern approaches to integrating artificial intelligence technologies into research activities;
- examples of using AI to formulate research topics and hypotheses;
- tools that support automated searches for relevant academic literature, as well as its systematization and analytical processing.
Other seminar participants also shared practical experience in applying digital technologies in the educational process. Yu.M. Galimova demonstrated the capabilities of large language models, audio assistants, and image generation services for preparing teaching materials and creating visual and interactive educational content. A.G. Ulyaeva addressed the introduction of digital solutions into psychological practice and the educational environment, focusing on ethical and practical challenges associated with their use.
The seminar served as a platform for professional discussion of current issues related to the digital transformation of research and education. Participants emphasized the importance of developing and adapting AI tools and expressed their readiness to continue exploring and implementing modern digital technologies to enhance the quality of educational programs and scientific research.
