Problems of Media Law – 2023
XXXII International Scientific and Practical Conference «Problems of Media Law - 2023» was held at the Higher School of Economics. The leading researcher of Leading Research Fellow of the International Laboratory of Digital Transformation in Public Administration of the HSE University Evgeny Diskin made a report «Digital cancelation - scale and consequences for the Russian Federation».
Speaker told about the emergence of the term «culture of abolition» in relation to full-scale discrimination of Russian citizens in the digital space, conducted a comparative analysis of the main provisions of international law focused on the discrimination on national grounds. His conclusion that a targeted large-scale and internationally coordinated discrimination is being carried out against Russians was widely supported in the discussion that followed the report. Evgeny Diskin announced intention to make a study on digital cancellation, to be carried out next year, and invited all interested researchers to cooperate.
