A round table «Goals and Values of Alter-globalism» has took place at the Kazan Innovative University named after V.G.Timiryasov (KIU), Research Fellow of the International Laboratory of Digital Transformation in Public Administration of the HSE University Dr. Evgeny Diskin has took a part.

During the round table, the issues of foreign policy of the Russian Federation were discussed, historical and philosophical assessments of the globalization process were given, the positive and negative sides of this phenomenon from the point of view of the philosophy of Alter-globalism were explored (Alternative Globalization Project). The participants shared their views on several topical issues of the construction of globalization projects, including in the historical context of China and the countries of the East, and assessed the risks that accompany the projects of Alter-globalism. Evgeny Diskin made a presentation «Potential of BRICS+ in terms of influence on the information space in the context of activities of large Internet platforms» in which he told listeners about the risks that create a closed information space within one state, shared assessments of the potential of the Chinese model of information space regulation in Russia, called for wider interaction between the BRICS+ states in terms of implementing the opportunities for regulation of the largest Internet platforms. The participants noted the importance of this initiative ahead of the planned summit of the BRICS states to be held in Kazan.
