XIII International conference “Legal issues in the Digital age”

XIII International conference “Legal issues in the Digital age” was held by the Faculty of Law of the HSE University. Research Fellow of the The HSE University International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration Evgenii Diskin took a part in it.

The conference addressed a wide range of legal issues, especially the regulation of AI technologies, personal data protection, confidentiality in data processing with AI, the role of public law in shaping the optimal model of regulation of digital technologies and artificial intelligence, problems of protection of rights holders in the field of use of artificial intelligence. Evgenii Diskin participated in the discussion on the problem of expanding the use of results of intellectual activity created using software with elements of generative Artificial Intelligence, digital sovereignty issues and its provision. Evgenii Diskin noted the risks of substitution of human-generated content content, created exclusively by generating services using artificial intelligence, and the absence of compensatory mechanisms that would retain the presence of the human in the digital environment as author and creator.
