The Big Conference on Marketing and Product Analytics «MATEMARKETING 24»
The Matеmarketing 24 conference was held in Moscow, which was attended by Mikhail Ushakov, an intern researcher at the International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration at the HSE University.
The conference is one of the largest events in the field of product analytics and attracts practitioners from various sectors of the economy. The conference reports were devoted not only to technologies used in analytics, but also to approaches for implementing data-driven management.
Mikhail Ushakov made a presentation entitled “Data Transformation of State Financial Control” in which he discussed the challenges that motivate regulatory authorities to move to data-centric management models. He presented practical approaches to organizing data management in government authorities using the example of the Main Control Department of the City of Moscow. During the presentation, it was also noted that there is not such a big difference between state authorities and the commercial sector in terms of transition to data-driven management. It is necessary to exchange best practices with each other. At the end of the presentation, a printed version of the monograph “Data-Centric Public Administration: Concept, Risks, Barriers” was raffled off for the best question. There were questions related to calculating the real economic effect of switching to a data-centric model, as well as questions related to the architecture of storing and processing data, but the prize went to a listener who was interested in methods for maintaining the quality of reports and analytics that are being implemented to control the self-service environment of inspectors.
