The International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration presentation at the Extended Meeting of the Bank of Russia
The International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration (HSE University) presented the results of a large-scale study at an expanded meeting of the Bank of Russia, which brought together more than 1,350 participants. Evgeny Styrin, Head of the laboratory, and Anna Sanina, Leading Research Fellow, made a presentation on "Human-Centricity in The Context of Digital Transformation and The Use of Artificial Intelligence in The Banking Sector". HSE Laboratory of Human-Centricity and Leadership Practices also participated in the research presented that day.
The report presented the results of a comprehensive analysis, including a study of more than 200 sources on human-centered banking, a systematization of theories of digital transformation, behavioral economics and fiscal psychology, as well as a case study of successful and unsuccessful digital banking solutions over the past five years. The study also used focus groups with experts and 50 in-depth interviews.
Evgeny Styrin presented the overall picture of the study. Anna Sanina focused on the research results. She identified key elements of the Bank of the Future including following:
- generational approach to digitalization of banking services;
- taking into account the characteristics of generations Y, Z, Alpha and X;
- human-technology partnership as the basic principle of building the future banking system;
- flexibility and adaptability of banking through monitoring and evaluation of the human-centricity of digital human-centered cognitive banking as the ultimate goal of transformation.
The HSE International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration presentation emphasized the importance of a human-centered approach in the development of digital banking technologies, and aroused interest among the audience. Leading experts from the Bank of Russia, representatives of the Sberbank and other organizations participated in the discussion following the presentation.
