Round table «Media, artificial intelligence and digital sovereignty: risks and legal solutions»

Law faculty of Moscow State University held a round table «Media, Artificial Intelligence and Digital Sovereignty: Risks and Legal Solutions». Leading Research Fellow of the International Laboratory of Digital Transformation in Public Administration of the HSE University Evgeny Diskin featured a presentation “Internet platforms: censorship, sovereignty, regulation”.

The report raised the issue of understanding digital sovereignty as the ability of the State to protect the rights and freedoms of citizens in a digital environment and current difficulties in this area. Evgeny Diskin also participated in the discussion about amendments to the legislation on algorithmic recommendations, in terms of bringing online platforms to responsibility for abuses in this field.
