The conference "Digital Petersburg – 2035"

Evgeny Styrin, the Head of the HSE University International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration, participated in the conference "Digital Petersburg - 2035", which was held on the eve of the International ICT Forum "IT Dialogue". Within the framework of the conference, expert sessions were held, where possible sections and the basis for the Strategy of St. Petersburg City until 2035 were discussed. 

Online Conference: Digital Governance and Public Administration: Interdisciplinary Insights from Research

The HSE University International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration organized an international online conference titled "Digital Governance and Public Administration: Interdisciplinary Insights from Research". Evgeny Styrin, the Head of the laboratory, served as moderator, and the presentations generated great interest among attendees.

International Forum on Digital Public Administration and Business Conditions

Evgeny Styrin, Head of the International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration at the HSE University attended the International Forum held in Wuhan, Hubei, China, at Huazhong University of Science and Technology in late July.

3rd International Scientific and Practical Conference “Digital Technologies and Law”

In Kazan there was held 3rd International Scientific and Practical Conference “Digital Technologies and Law”organized by the Research Institute of Digital Technologies and Law of the Kazan Innovation University named after V.G. Tymiryasov (Kazan, Russia). The conference, which was attended by over 1,200 participants from 26 countries, addressed a wide range of issues on digitalization and law that were addressed in 8 core sections, 8 special sessions and 6 partnership sessions. Thus, the conference is one of the most representative and large, especially considering that it takes place on the eve of the XVI BRICS summit, which will also take place in Kazan from 22 to 24 October 2024.

International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration Webinar

International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration hold webinar on the topic "Specifics of the video-making process for the socio-psychological experiment «The Influence of Emotions on Trust in Electronic Government Services»". During the seminar, the speakers, Research Assistants Elizaveta Dyakova and Agnessa Bich, detailed the methods and tools used in creating video clips, which are aimed at studying how different emotions affect citizens' trust in digital public services in various social spheres. They also mentioned their experience and difficulties encountered in the work.

International Municipal Forum of the BRICS Countries

Evgeny Styrin, Head of the International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration at the HSE University, spoke at the session "World's Best Practices of interaction between municipal employees with citizens and business: implementing a human-centered approach in municipal management" within the framework of the International Municipal Forum of the BRICS Countries.

IV International Research Conference "Interaction. Integration. Inclusion: labyrinths of meanings and horizons of opportunities"

The organizer is the International Laboratory for Social Integration Research, HSE University, in partnership with The Journal of Social Policy Studies, conference dates are 5-7 August. On Monday, a plenary session and a section "Digitalization, Trends and Technologies in the context of social Inequalities" were held. Maria Yudina, Senior Researcher at International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration of the HSE University, Pavel Suvorkov, Associate Researcher at the Center for Arctic and Siberian Studies of the SI FNSC RAS, and Ilya Ermolin, Candidate of Political Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Sociology at HSE University – St. Petersburg, co-authored the report for the section.

Webinar «Artificial intelligence vs privacy»

Webinar «Artificial intelligence vs privacy» was held in Moscow, organized by the Department of Innovative Jurisprudence of the Public Law Department of the HSE University Faculty of Law together with the Scientific center «Information and Digital Law» of the Department of Legal Informatics, Information and digital law of the Michail Lomonosov Faculty of Law. Research Fellow of the International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration of the HSE University Evgenii Diskin took part in the discussion on the issue of personal data protection.

IX BRICS CIVIL FORUM

The IX Civil Forum of the BRIC countries was held in Moscow, organized by the Expert Council of the BRICS, operating on the basis of the HSE University. BRICS Civil Forum is a discussion and presentation platform of the civil societies of BRICS countries, as well as invited world majority countries to discuss citizens' proposals on the priorities of the BRICS agenda, and to present civic initiatives under this agenda. The Forum was attended by more than 450 guests from more than 20 countries.
